BEIJING, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Northeast China's Jilin Province has launched a plan recently to promote the integrated development of Changchun, the capital city, and Jilin, the second largest city of the province.
According to the plan, Jilin Province will establish advanced manufacturing and emerging industrial bases and promote the coordinated development of industrial clusters including automobile, chemical and agricultural products processing.
Meanwhile, Jilin Province will promote synchronous planning, implementation and operation of airports, railways, highways and rail transit facilities, and increase bus routes and frequency in the suburbs. On the premise of preventing and controlling major risks, funds of local government bond will be allocated to support the two cities, and the construction lands of the two cities will be appropriately increased.
In the future, the government service of Changchun and Jilin will also be connected. And the two cities will standardize identity authentication, electronic seals and electronic licenses, jointly build an employment service platform to share human resources.
Changchun and Jilin are linked by high-speed railways and expressways, and the main urban areas of the two cities are more than 100 kilometers apart.
