BEIJING, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Qinghai province achieved a total of 200 million yuan worth of foreign trade with Belt and Road (B&R) countries in the first quarter, an increase of 20.8 percent year on year, statistics from Xining Customs showed that.
To be specific, imports were 22.61 million yuan, down 15.2 percent. While exports reached 190 million yuan, up 27.2 percent. Leading trade countries of Qinghai were the UAE, Singapore, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Poland, Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
With the promotion of B&R construction, Qinghai has continuously optimized international market layout and explored global market.
