ZHENGZHOU, April 9 (Xinhua) -- The first forum for high-quality development of the China (Henan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) was successfully held in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan province on Monday.
As one of the special activities of the ongoing 13th China Henan International Investment & Trade Fair, the forum is aimed to introduce the construction process of the FTZ and share the building experience.
The Henan FTZ has striven to build a government-administrative service system integrating all services online, create a unified financial service system, improve the equal legal service system, and also innovate the inspection model in an effort to facilitate development of the enterprises in the zone, according to Chen Kaijie, deputy director of China (Henan) Free Trade Zone Work Office.
Chen also said that thanks to its favorable policies for the business development, the FTZ has attracted more than 50,000 companies to register, with the registered capital exceeding 600 billion yuan.
At the forum, Yuan Yuan, deputy director of the Department of Foreign Investment Administration under the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), pointed out that for high-quality development, the FTZ has to make efforts in further opening-up to the outside world, improve the level of government governance, and strengthen overall planning and innovation in various systems.
Since its establishment in 2016, the Henan FTZ has integrated lots of new experience that can be replicated and promoted nationwide, through institutional innovation, providing a strong guarantee for deepening reform and opening up for the province and even the central region of China. China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI) will cooperate with the Henan FTZ in areas such as financial leasing and big health to jointly create a new highland for reform and opening up, said Cao Hongying, executive vice president of the CAEFI.
After the forum, the three areas of the Henan FTZ including Zhengzhou Area, Kaifeng Area and Luoyang Area held special matchmaking activities for cooperation in areas such as multimodal transport, cultural travel industry and intelligent manufacturing, respectively.
