CHICAGO, March 27 (Xinhua) -- The University of Michigan (UM) will host the 2019 Michigan China Forum on Saturday and Sunday to explore cooperation opportunities between the United States and China.
The forum will focus on such topics as trade and politics, China's nationalism under pluralistic perspective, political economy in science and technology, and modernization and political evolution.
Chinese Consul-General in Chicago Zhao Jian will preside over the main forum to talk about the new cooperation opportunities and challenges the two countries are facing. Several professors will speak at the forum.
Founded in 2017, the Michigan China Forum is a non-profit organization registered at the UM with an aim to tap bilateral cooperation and mutually beneficial development opportunities between China and the United States.
