BEIJING, March 27 (Xinhua) -- China's insurance premium income reached over 1.16 trillion yuan in the first two months of 2019, showing a year-on-year increase of 19.94 percent, according to data released on Monday by China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC).
Specifically, property insurance premium income amounted to 191.7 billion yuan from January to February, up 8.17 percent year on year.
During the same period, personal insurance premiums surged 22.57 percent year on year to 972.1 billion yuan, of which 826.1 billion yuan came from life insurance, 126.3 billion yuan from health insurance and 19.7 billion yuan from personal accident insurance. (Edited by Su Dan)
