Editor's note: China Economic Information Service (CEIS) and the Italian financial media giant Class Editori S.p.A. jointly launched the Italian version of Xinhua Silk Road to help enterprises of the two countries to strengthen cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Chairman and president of CEIS Xu Yuchang has recently expressed his confidence on this cooperation. The following is his speech.
The ancient Silk Road traces back more than 2,000 years, with Italy as a key link. It is fair to say that the Silk Road has enabled the friendly exchanges between Chinese and Italians. In the new era, since the Belt and Road was initiated, we have witnessed closer ties between us in investment, trade, and culture.
In order to enhance the friendly exchanges, China Economic Information Service (CEIS) and CLASS have joined hands to offer "Xinhua Silk Road" economic information service. On the one hand, they provide Italian enterprises with Chinese economic information; on the other hand, they provide Chinese enterprises with Italian economic information, so as to promote investment and trade cooperation between Chinese and Italian enterprises. We have learned that such services are well received among these enterprises.
So, on behalf of CEIS, my thanks should go to CLASS for their professional and effective work. I am confident that under the Belt and Road Initiative, our cooperation will bring to enterprises of the two countries more and better investment and trade opportunities.
