BEIJING, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The first shipload of Bolivian quinoa weighing at 20 metric tons recently arrived at northern Chinese port city Tianjin, reported yidaiyilu.gov.cn.
This is the first batch of Bolivian quinoa imported by China via the sea port after Chinese Customs authority released the quarantine inspection requirements for importing Bolivian quinoa on July 6 2018.
It is noted that Tianjin Customs has put many efforts to ensure the smooth customs clearance of the Bolivian quinoa via the port, such as, coordinating import procedures, providing priority inspection services, and strictly reviewing the quality and safety of the quinoa products.
