BEIJING, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The current cooperation of cross-border film business deals between China and Egypt is being hailed as one of the success stories of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The cooperation was attributed to the co-production between China Radio International (CRI) and a major film production company in Egypt.
To be specific, the company dubbed a dozens of Chinese TV dramas and feature films into Arabic since 2013, to broadcast in its local channel, as a result to enhance the people-to-people bond between China and Egypt under the BRI.
The Egyptian company also revealed that it plans to launch a specialized TV program about the BRI in this coming April, to introduce the BRI for Egyptian and Arab audiences, which is in line with the coming event of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation to be held in April.
The joint construction of the B&R between China and Egypt has gained support from the Egyptian people thanks to the close cultural exchanges between the two countries, said a professional from the B&R research in Egypt.
The professional hoped that efforts will be made to strengthen cooperation in the Arab film industry and carry on the cultural exchange between China and Egypt. (Edited by Jiang Feifan)
