BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhua) – South China’s Guangdong Province will follow its 3-step plan to help build the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area into a world class bay area by 2035, reported Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News Monday.
Guangdong announced a series of documents focusing on constructing the local part of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area on a news briefing Saturday.
As the province held, three steps to be take include setting up a working mechanism to boost rules integration and orderly flow of various resources by 2020, forming a world-class bay area and cities clusters with great innovation capacity, optimized industrial structure, fluid flow of market elements and pleasant ecology by 2022, and becoming a world-class bay area suitable for living, business and tourism by 2035.
Lin Shaochun, executive vice governor of Guangdong Province highlighted the province will make efforts to integrate rules, deepen Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao cooperation in science and innovation, boost infrastructure interconnectivity, enlarge opening up to jointly build a key supporting area for the Belt and Road, craft the bay area into a quality living circle and accelerate cooperation platform construction to bring up full-aspect cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
