BEIJING, March 3 (Xinhua) -- China's Warehouse Storage Index (CWSI) continued to expand in January, according to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
In January, the CWSI grew to 53.7 percent, 2.5 percentage points higher than in December last year, the NDRC cited China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing as saying.
A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while below reflects contraction.
The index has been on a gaining streak for six months.
The CWSI, which was established in 2014, mirrors the operation conditions of the domestic warehousing sector as well as the supply and demand of major commodities.
