BEIJING, March 5 (Xinhua) -- South China's Guangdong province is going to invest 10.6 billion yuan to build an open agricultural science and technology innovation platform serving Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the whole country, said Liu Yutao, head of the center on Sunday.
Construction of the platform will be undertaken by Guangzhou’s National Modern Agricultural Industry Science and Technology Innovation Center.
According to Liu, the center will gather 100 scientific research platforms, incubate 1,000 enterprises and promote the development of several industrial clusters with 100 billion yuan.
The center, supported by Agriculture and Rural Affairs Ministry and People’s Government of Guangdong Province, was established on December 12, 2018. With scientific and technological innovation as the engine, the center aims to create a service platform for integrating the development of agriculture, science and technology, and economy.
