BEIJING, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao have reached consensus on healthcare cooperation in the 2nd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Healthcare Cooperation Conference held in Shenzhen Monday.
During the conference, three sides conducted contract exchanges on 12 major projects for prevention and control of the imported tropical diseases in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
The consensus reached by the three sides is to promote high quality health development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as to build a platform for integrating the medical resources in the bay area.
Regarding medical developing ties, the three sides will jointly promote the cooperation in the fields of high-quality medical resources, public health emergency response, innovation in traditional Chinese medicines, as well as scientific research and services in healthcare sector.
Meanwhile, they pledged to support both domestic and foreign investors to invest in the biomedical sector in the bay area, and support the medical institutions from Hong Kong and Macao to participate into the construction of medical system in the Greater Bay Area. (Edited by Jiang Feifan)
