BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) – East China's Jiangsu province generated 370.65 billion yuan in foreign trade in January, up 5.6 percent year on year, Nanjing Customs data showed.
The trade volume included 222.54 billion of exports, up 8.7 percent year on year, and 148.11 billion of imports, up 1.3 percent year on year.
It is noteworthy that private enterprises have grown up in the market. In January, the import and export of private enterprises in Jiangsu rose 14.4 percent year on year to 110.74 billion yuan in January. Among them, exports grew 16.1 percent year on year, while imports surged 10.6 percent year on year.
Besides, trade with countries along the Belt and Road routes including Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines increased significantly. (Edited by Yang Yifan, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
