BEIJING, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Chinese company SEPCOⅢ Electric Power Construction (SEPCOⅢ), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina), recently kicked off the Al Dur Phase 2 Independent Water and Power Plant (IWPP) project of Bahrain.
The project is the first large-scale energy project of PowerChina and SEPCOⅢ in Bahrain, and the two Chinese firms are responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the power plant.
Al Dur Phase 2 IWPP project is a critical project included in Bahrain 2030 National Planning Development Strategy. With unit capacity accounting for 25 percent of the country's total, the project is significant in promoting local economy and improving people's livelihood. (Edited by Su Dan)
