BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's top economic planner, and Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) signed an arrangement to support Macao's full participation in the Belt and Road construction, Shanghai Securities News reported on February 20.
The arrangement focuses on cooperation in four aspects and 20 key fields, including financial, economic and trade sectors, people-to-people bond as well as deepening collaboration with other cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Under the arrangement, Macao will be encouraged to take an appropriate manner to carry out cooperation with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Silk Road Fund, China-Africa Development Fund, CLAI Fund, Asian Financial Cooperation Association, etc.
Besides, Macao will also be encouraged to actively participate in the construction of the Greater Bay Area in a bid to improve its social and economic development and it will act as a two-way open platform to "go out" with other cities in the area.
