BEIJING, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- The software and information service industries of Beijing, the capital city of China, have been growing steadily in 2018 with industry scale surpassing 1 trillion yuan for the first time, according to a source with Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology.
Beijing-based enterprises take up nearly one third of the country’s top 100 internet companies, and account for 60 percent in BeiDou navigation concept listed companies that boost revenue of more than 1 billion yuan, according to a report by Beijing Daily on Monday.
The report noted that every 100 million yuan research and development expenditure by Beijing's software industry resulted in 132.5 pieces of valid patents in 2018, 69.8 pieces more than that of 2017. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
