BEIJING, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- China Mobile Communications Corp. (China Mobile), the world's largest wireless communication carrier, is offering a bid to buy about 105 million core kilometers of optical cables for a maximum of 10.15 billion yuan.
The procurement involved in the carrier's tender notice on Thuesday is taken by industry insiders as its preparation for 5G network construction.
Many companies listed in the A-share market mull to participate in the bidding, such as Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology (600522.SH), Shenzhen Sdg Information (000070.SZ), and Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (601869.SH). (Edited by Su Dan, Niu Huizhe)
