TUNIS, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Tunisian parliament approved on Thursday a bill on creation of a Tunisian cultural center in Beijing, capital of China.
The Assembly of the Representatives of the People also approved the setting up of a Chinese cultural center in Tunisia, according to a parliament statement.
On May 13, 2017, Tunisia and China signed an agreement on the creation of cultural centers in the two countries.
"The agreement with the Chinese side is of major importance," said Tunisian Minister of Culture Mohamed Zine El-Abidine.
"Having a Tunisian cultural center in the Chinese capital would certainly contribute to the economic, social and cultural expansion of Tunisia both regionally and internationally," he added. Enditem
