BEIJING, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- A total of 31 major projects with investment totaling 74.9 billion yuan were announced to be started at an opening ceremony for major projects in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area held in Qianhai Area of South China's Shenzhen on Wednesday.
It is reported that this batch of projects mainly focus on new city center construction in Qianhai, Shenzhen-Hong Kong science and technology innovation cooperation zone construction and Shenzhen traffic engineering.
Apart from these projects, related cities in Guangdong also started to set goals or formulate related policies to advance the construction of the Greater Bay Area.
Nansha district of Guangzhou City has initially included a total of 233 projects into the key construction projects in the Greater Bay Area with an annual investment plan of 97.15 billion yuan.
Huangpu district of Guangzhou will focus on transport infrastructure construction, city construction and people's livelihood projects.
Jinwan district of Zhuhai City will put efforts in developing characteristics industries and advantageous traditional industries and quicken the construction of a modern industrial system. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
