A new platform is being created in Germany to help startups find cooperation partners and connect with clients and investors.
The German Startups Association announced Wednesday in Berlin that it is building the Startbase platform with the Stuttgart stock exchange. It will incorporate the VentureZphere platform that the exchange already runs in the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg.
The national version is meant to be gradually filled with content by the middle of the year. It will offer access to a comprehensive database and different services that small companies can use to network and grow more rapidly.
An important aspect for all startups is visibility, said German Startups Association head Florian Noell. Startbase will allow both small firms and large companies, as well as potential supporters, to present themselves and contact one another.
Communication and financing are the two most crucial points for every startup, according to Michael Voelter, chairman of the stock exchange association's management board. The new platform can offer valuable assistance in both those areas, he said.
