BEIJING, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- More than 1,300 Chinese companies set up branches in Xiongan New Area in 2018, a 30-fold increase over 2017, according to Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News.
These companies are mainly engaged in infrastructure construction, ecological and environmental protection, and high technology development.
In particular, hi-tech companies in such fields as the fifth generation telecommunication technology, Internet of Vehicles, smart transportation have been poised for their presence in Xiongan, which will advance the new area’s development.
For example, Sohu.com, China Transinfo (002373.SZ) and many other listed technology companies have already or will set up branches in Xiongan, following hi-tech giants like Alibaba, Baidu and Tecent. (Edited by Su Dan)
