SHANGHAI, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- China Yangtze Power Co. Ltd., the country's largest listed power company, posted a 1.66 percent annual increase in its net profits in 2018, on more electricity sales.
Its net income attributed to shareholders reached 22.63 billion yuan (3.34 billion U.S. dollars), the world's largest hydropower company said in its unaudited preliminary earnings estimate filed to the Shanghai Stock Exchange late Thursday.
The power company generated revenues of 51.25 billion yuan last year, up 2.2 percent, it said.
China Yangtze Power runs four large hydropower plants, the Three Gorges, Gezhouba, Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba, with a total installed power generating capacity of 45,495 MW as of 2017.
Shares of China Yangtze Power gained 1.36 percent to 15.66 yuan as of 2:30 p.m. Friday in Shanghai.
