BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- East China's Fujian saw its trade with the countries and regions along the maritime Silk Road route in 2018 grow more than 11 percent year on year, according to the Xinhua-run Economic Information Daily on Friday.
In 2018, Fujian actively participated in the Belt and Road construction and constantly enhanced its open economy, with its exports exceeding 760 billion yuan.
It is worth noting that Taiwan-Fujian-Europe freight trains made 175 trips in 2018 to reach more than 30 cities in Asia and Europe. The freight train service has helped the Taiwanese enterprises enjoy the benefits of the Belt & Road. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
