BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- East China's Shandong province saw its foreign trade with the countries along the Belt and Road routes total 519.59 billion yuan in 2018, up 7.3 percent year on year, according to the local government.
The province saw its foreign trade with Russia and India up 24 percent and 15.8 percent respectively.
Statistics showed that foreign trade of Shandong province totaled 1.93 trillion yuan in 2018, up 7.7 percent year on year, hitting a record high.
To be specific, the total value of exports and imports amounted to 1.06 trillion yuan and 873.29 billion yuan respectively during the period, an increase of 6.1 percent and 9.7 percent year on year.
The United States, the European Union, ASEAN, the Republic of Korea, and Japan was the top five trade partners of Shandong province in 2018. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
