BEIJING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- China’s first service platform for 5G-based automatic driving demonstration application was launched in Southwest China’s Chongqing municipality on Wednesday, according to news released by the municipal government.
The platform is expected to provide basic scenario development, operation and other services via three test areas and six scenarios for 5G automatic driving test and development.
Automatic driving demonstration test will be carried out in the three areas covered by the 5G telecommunication technology within 2019.
In the future, the platform will finish deployment of the network and base station, while at the same time develop six scenarios, and also complete testing and operation management scheme.
The first-phase construction and operation of the platform is expected to be completed by the end of 2019. (Edited by Su Dan)
