BEIJING, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Guangzhou, capital city of south China’s Guangdong province, will promote setting up innovative futures exchanges and commercial banks in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao greater bay area, reported Xinhua-run www.cnstock.com citing Wen Guohui, mayor of Guangzhou as saying.
Wen noted that Guangzhou will promote construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao greater bay area as a international financial island, and actively participate in the setup of a technology financial service center, a cultural center, a international trade center, and a big data center in the area.
Wen also pointed out that the city will fully promote the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao greater bay area, accelerate the high-speed rail projects processing, including Shenzhen-Maoming railway, Nansha Port Railway, and Guangzhou-Zhongshan-Macao high-speed Railway, and accelerate the construction of major cooperation platforms, such as industrial deep cooperation parks between Hong Kong and Guangdong, and Industrial parks of Portuguese-speaking countries between Guangdong and Macao.
