BEIJING, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) – Suning Holdings Group Co. Ltd. plans to open a total of 15,000 new stores to quicken its development and meanwhile pursue quality development in 2019, announced Zhang Jindong, chairman of the company, at the company's work deployment meeting held on Tuesday.
To achieve the goal, the company should build or upgrade its full-scene retail system, smart retail enabling system and smart retail infrastructure, in a bid to speed up the development of Suning's whole industry chain, said Zhang.
According to him, small shops and Suning retail cloud, two core products of the company, will continue to play an important role in helping the company seize the community and rural markets rapidly.
Suning will focus on building four intelligent engines of procurement, operation, service and risk control in 2019 by making full using of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, so as to ultimately build a system that supports the sustainable development of smart retail.
The company should also focus on the building of customer service capability so as to provide quality service for customers, stressed Zhang. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
