BEIJING, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) – China's top economic planner the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has approved three airport construction projects with a total investment of over 70 billion yuan, reported the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News quoting the NDRC on Tuesday.
The three projects are respectively the phase-III expansion project of the Xi'an Xianyang International Airport in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, the new airport project in Hohhot of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the civil-part relocation project of the military and civilian airport in Lianyungang of east China's Jiangsu Province.
The total investment in these three projects are 47.14 billion yuan, 22.37 billion yuan and 2.313 billion yuan, respectively.
All the three projects are aimed at adapting to the rapid growth of aviation business, improving regional comprehensive transport system and foster regional economic and social development. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
