BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Egypt has its first Belt and Road (B&R) cooperation research center unveiled Sunday in Ain Shams University for academic exchanges as well as advancing bilateral economic and cultural coordination.
Co-established by Renmin University of China and Ain Shams University in Cairo, the center lays a new milestone in China-Egypt relationships, said Liu Wei, principal with Renmin University at the opening ceremony.
The cooperation center could also push forward coordinated development in economics and culture between China and Egypt thus bring more opportunities to Egypt and even Middle East and African region under the B&R Initiative, said Ain Shams University president Abd El Wahab Ezzat.
