BEIJING, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- AliExpress, an international arm of the Chinese online retailing giant Alibaba, has maintained rapid growth on markets along Belt and Road routes in recent years, especially in such countries as Germany, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Portugal, Lebanon, said Wang Mingqiang, general manager of AliExpress, quoted by the Economic Daily.
AliExpress has attracted more than 150 million overseas customers accumulatively, with more than 200 million visits to the site per month worldwide, announced the company in September, 2018.
According to its sales data, the sales of high-quality essential consumer goods made in China have been rising in foreign markets recently. For example, domestic robot sweepers become widely popular in Western countries, said Wang.
The rapid expansion lies in the company's advanced techniques including big data, personalized algorithm and optimized translator, as well as strategy of differentiation and localization.
In addition, AliExpress also faces severe logistics challenges in its overseas expanding process. It has collaborated with local postal services suppliers to facilitate its global business. (Edited by Wu Shuang,wushuang2018@xinhua.org)
