BEIJING, Jan.3 (Xinhua) -- China's central state-owned enterprises (SOEs) have actively participated into the Belt and Road (B&R) construction in recent years, according to a blue paper jointly issued recently by State-Owned Assests Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
Research showed that a total of 92 percent of Chinese central SOEs have participated into the B&R construction so far, while 62 percent of the enterprises have made equity investment in those countries.
At present, more than 80 central SOEs have implemented 3,116 projects in the countries along the B&R routes, said SASAC.
In terms of the infrastructure construction, the Chinese central SOEs have undertaken 50 percent of projects, with their contract amount accounting for more than 70 percent of the total infrastructure projects conducted by the Chinese enterprises, according to SASAC report.
It is noted that the central SOEs have employed a total of 36,000 employees from the countries along the B&R routes in recent years, which has further enhanced the win-win cooperation with those countries. (Edited by Jiang Feifan, Hu Pingchao)
