BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) – China announced recently it starts to supply motor gasoline and diesel that meet the State VI emission standard nationwide from January 1, 2019, and halts sales of motor gasoline and diesel below the standard at the same time.
The announcement was jointly made by China's top economic planner National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and six related ministries and commissions on December 29, 2018, aiming at fostering the quality upgrade of refined oil and improving the air quality.
According to the announcement, related central and local regulators will strengthen the supervision and management over the quality of refined oil and prohibit the production, sale and use of fuel (gas) below the standard. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
