BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- The subway line connecting the new Beijing Daxing International Airport with downtown Beijing is expected to start test run in September 2019 when the airport will also be put into test operation at the same time.
So far, the main structure construction for the new line has come to an end with equipment expected to be installed soon in the next stage, according to authoritative department.
Stretching over 41 kilometers, the new line is expected to run through Daxing and Fengtai, two districts in the southern part of Beijing.
Beijing Daxing International Airport, located 46 kilometers south of downtown Beijing, is designed to take pressure off overcrowded Beijing Capital International Airport in the northeastern suburb.
