BEIJING, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- A new China-Europe freight train route came into operation on Wednesday, linking Ji'an, China's Jiangxi province, with Russian capital Moscow.
The train will leave China through the Manzhouli Port and pass through Mongolia before reaching Vorsino in Moscow.
The whole journey, covering 10,000 kilometers, only takes 14 days, which is 20 days less than the sea transportation.
Xiong Guorong, director of Ji'an South Station where the train departs, believes that the opening of this new route will promote the economic and trade exchanges between Ji'an and Europe, and also help Ji'an goods to go global. (Edited by Li Wenxin, liwenxin@xinhua.org)
