BEIJING, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) – China's solar equipment manufacturer Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (300450.SZ) announced Thursday that it had signed a contract recently with U.S. top electric carmaker Tesla Inc. to provide lithium battery production equipment to the U.S. company at a price of 43 million yuan.
According to the contract, LEAD will provide winding machine, cylindrical battery assembly line, chemical composition capacity system and other related devices to Tesla.
The contract will lay the foundation for follow-up cooperation between the two companies, said LEAD. (Edited by Gu Shanshan)
