BEIJING, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) is expected to release new guidance catalogues for service trade industry soon to fix the areas with full support in the future, said Xian Guoyi, director of the Department of Trade in Services and Commercial Services, at a recent meeting, quoted by Shanghai Securities News on Thursday.
In addition, the department will promote the construction of 13 national cultural export bases in 2019, and build a number of digital service export bases and Chinese medicine service export bases to promote the service trade development.
Experts noted that the authorities may introduce more support measures in the future, in terms of the tax rates on service exports and bonded supervision of the service outsourcing.
Consulting services will be added to the new list for imports on the basis of the three major categories such as R&D and design services, energy conservation and environmental protection services, and environmental services, according to Cui Yanxin, a researcher at Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC) of the MOC.
In terms of service exports, she said that China has always encouraged the export of digital services such as cloud computing, and the supporting fiscal and taxation policies will be put in place in the future, such as zero export tax rates. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
