TIANJIN, Dec.24 (Xinhua) -- The annual passenger throughput of Tianjin Binhai International Airport topped 23 million on December 22, hitting a record high, and it will surpass 23.50 million by the end of this year, sources with the airport said.
With more and more internationa flights in service, the airport's international passenger throughput also grew remarkably by 19.2 percent year on year to 2.176 million by November.
Currently, the airport handles 188 passenger air routes, including 150 domestic air lines, and 33 international air lines. Since 2018, Tianjin Binhai International Airport has realized the goal of opening long-range intercontinental routes to Vancouver and Sydney. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
