Airbus delivers 400th A320 family aircraft assembled in China's Tianjin -- Airbus has delivered the 400th A320 Family aircraft from its Final Assembly Line Asia (FALA) in northern China's Tianjin Municipality, announced Airbus China on December 18. The A320neo airplane was delivered to Air China, the country's national flag carrier, representing another milestone of the industrial cooperation and partnership between Airbus and China's aviation industry, said Airbus China.
Russia’s largest cargo airline, Cainiao co-construct smart logistic network -- Russia’s largest cargo airline AirBridge Cargo Airlines announced that it has been the member of Global Smart Logistic Network built by Alibaba’s logistics unit Cainiao, so as to enhance the construction of smart logistic network jointly with Cainiao. The Xinhua-run China Securities Journal reported on December 17 that after joining in smart logistic network, AirBridge Cargo Airlines will provide optimal route resources for small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Asia, Russia, and Europe, and also provide ground handling and road access services, to optimize the process of transportation.
Nestle, Yunnan university strive to improve coffee quality, yield -- Global food giant Nestle's coffee center and Yunnan Agricultural University signed a memorandum of understanding on December 17 to improve coffee plants in the city of Pu'er in southwest China's Yunnan Province. The move will improve the yield of coffee and the quality of coffee beans, as well as to reinforce the Yunnan coffee industry's competitiveness and sustainable development. Nestle said it would purchase around 10,000 tonnes of coffee beans in Pu'er between 2018 and 2019, the largest coffee plantation center in Yunnan.
IOC launches first Olympic online store on Alibaba's Tmall -- The International Olympic Committee and its Worldwide Top Partner Alibaba Group announced on December 15 that the first-ever Olympic official online store has been launched on Tmall, China's largest e-commerce platform. The Olympic store on Tmall offers official products of three Olympic core licensing collections - the Olympic Games Collection, the Olympic Heritage Collection and the Olympic Collection.
BMW launches online ride-hailing service in Sichuan -- ReachNow, the BMW-owned car-sharing service, launched a ride-hailing service in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, on December 14. The move makes BMW the first foreign enterprise given the green light for online ride-hailing operation in China. Aiming at the huge high-end online car-hailing market, the company said a fleet of 200 BMW 5 Series models had hit the road in Chengdu at the preliminary stage, and half of the vehicles were plug-in hybrid ones.
