BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Guizhou Province will strive to promote development of the ten major industries including advanced equipment manufacturing, high-quality tobacco and alcohol, modern chemical industry, big data electronic information, health medicine, with the goal of achieving a total industrial output value of 1.8 trillion by 2020.
The province will cultivate and introduce leading enterprises in areas of big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, and intelligent terminals.
By 2020, the total output value of the province's electronic information manufacturing industry will reach 100 billion yuan. The income of the software and information technical service industry aims to be about 50 billion yuan, and the total volume of telecommunications business is expected to reach 186.4 billion yuan, according to the Department of the Industry and Information Technology of Guizhou Province.
Statistics show that from January to October 2018, the province's industrial enterprises each with the main business revenue above 20 million yuan annually achieved a total output value of 926.5 billion yuan, an increase of 8.6 percent year on year. The province's industrial investment (including infrastructure construction in the industrial parks) amounted to 284 billion yuan during the period. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
