BEIJING, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Wuliangye is expected to realize sales revenue of more than 100 billion yuan in 2019, Li Shuguang, chairman with the Chinese leading liquor company on Monday.
Li made the remarks during the 2nd China International Festival of Famous Liquor (CIFFL) and International Wine & Spirits Alliance Summit held in Yibin of southwest China’s Sichuan province.
With its brand standing as a representative for Chinese flavor liquor, Wuliangye has now become a diversified large enterprise that develops around liquor business, Shanghai Securities News quoted Li as saying.
Earlier in December, at the 2018 Boao Forum for Entrepreneurs held in Hainan Boao, Li Jingren, deputy general manager and chief accountant of Kweichow Moutai Group, also noted that sales revenue of Moutai is expected to reach 90 billion yuan in 2018, and further rise to reach 100 billion yuan in 2019.
Wuliangye is expected to step up as 100-billion yuan enterprise together with Moutai next year, which would be a milestone for Chinese liquor industry, Li Shuguang said.
Wuliangye, together with famous international liquor brands such as Diageo, Pernod Ricard, Brown Forman and Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) co-initiated Belt and Road International Wine & Spirits Alliance in December of 2017 to push forward cooperation and exchanges.
