BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- China's cooperation with Europe and Latin America has been strengthened under the Belt and Road Initiative, as a string of cooperation documents were signed recently.
Part of concrete results are listed below, based on governmental publications and recent reports by major news agencies.
Spain:
1. China and Spain issued a joint statement to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era.
2. On November 28, China and Spain signed a protocol of the quarantine requirements for Spanish fresh grapes exporting to China, according to China’s General Administration of Customs.
3. The two countries signed 18 cooperation documents covering such areas as people's livelihood, advanced materials, education, finance, etc.
Portugal:
1. On December 5, China and Portugal signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on jointly advancing the construction of the Belt and Road.
2. On December 5, Bank of China (BOC) signed a MoU with Portuguese state-owned banking corporation Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD, General cash deposits in English) to further strengthen the cooperation of RMB Business.
3. On December 5, State Grid Corporation of China signed a framework agreement with Redes Energéticas Nacionais (REN), the Portuguese national energy network company, to cooperate in the energy industry.
Panama:
1. China and Panama signed a series of cooperation documents covering such areas as e-commerce, services, trade, infrastructure, financing and education.
2. On December 3, Bank of China (BOC) and National Bank of Panama (Banco Nacional de Panamá) signed a MoU to enhance two-way cooperation.
3. On December 3, China Development Bank (CDB) and National Bank of Panama (Banco Nacional de Panamá) signed a MoU to provide finance services for enterprises of the two countries.
Argentina:
1. On December 2, China and Argentina agreed to jointly usher in a new era of their comprehensive strategic partnership, and signed a joint action plan for the next five years and some 30 cooperation documents.
2. China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) and the Ministry of Production and Labour of Argentina signed a MoU on e-business cooperation.
3. On December 2, China and Argentina signed a protocol of the quarantine requirements for Argentine fresh cherries exporting to China.
