BEIJING, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued low-band and mid-band 5G trial licenses to the country's three major telecom operators on Thursday.
China Mobile is allocated with 5G spectrums of 2515MHz-2675MHz and 4800MHz-4900MHz, while China Telecom has obtained a frequency range of 100MHz from 3400MHz to 3500MHz, and China Unicom a frequency band of 100MHz from 3500MHz to 3600MHz.
The issue of 5G trial licenses consists an important step in China's 5G network construction, said telecom industry expert Xiang Ligang in a recent interview with the Shanghai Securities News, adding that the year of 2019 will be a watershed for 5G development in China.
