Shanghai releases action plan to boost bio-pharmaceutical industry dev.

Abstract : The Shanghai municipal government has rolled out an action plan to promote high-quality development of bio-pharmaceutical industry from 2018-2020, Shanghai Securities News reported on Wednesday.

BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai municipal government has rolled out an action plan to promote high-quality development of bio-pharmaceutical industry from 2018-2020, Shanghai Securities News reported on Wednesday.

The plan sets a target for Shanghai's bio-pharmaceutical industry to realize an industry scale of 400 billion yuan by 2020, and make Shanghai to be Asia-Pacific region's biomedical high-end product R&D center, manufacturing center, R&D outsourcing and service center as well as medical equipment distribution systems.

A bio-pharmaceutical innovation and production cluster with international influence is expected to take shape by 2025, according to the plan. (Edited by Jiang Feifan, Niu Huizhe)
