BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- China will soon release technical requirements on blockchain platform safety, reported the Xinhua-run Economic Information Daily.
The requirements currently being drafted will set up technical standards for key modules of China's blockchain platforms, in order to deal with cybersecurity threats and guarantee the stable operation of the platforms, according to Wu Zhen, an official from the National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China.
In the past decade, blockchain technology has developed rapidly and is considered to be the main development direction of information storage in the future. However, the insecurity of the technology has made it one of the hardest-hit areas by hacker attacks, and many experts call for strict safety standards for the industry to be introduced as soon as possible.
