BEIIJING, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Green Finance Committee (GFC) published the second edition of white paper of The Need for a Common Language in Green Finance, jointly with European Investment Bank (EIB) on Tuesday during the United Nation Climate Summit - COP24 in Katowice.
Xinhua-run www.cs.com.cn reported that the white paper reviewed and analyzed the progress of China and Europe in promoting green finance and green finance standardization in the past year. It also proposed to form a demonstration effect for the internationalization of China's green bond market by exploring the EIB’s issuance of green panda bonds in the Chinese capital market and strengthening the use of white paper results.
Ma Jun, director of the GFC said that in order to promote the green development of the global capital market, it is necessary to form a common language among different green financial standards. With the growing of China's green bond market, it is even more necessary to promote the unification of international green standards. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
