BEIJING, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- A report on business environment evaluation of China's cities for 2018 was released on Monday by the Academy of Greater Bay Area Studies, a think tank in south China's Guangzhou city, showing that Shenzhen ranked first by the business environment index.
The report was made based on six indicators involving soft environment, infrastructure, business cost, market environment, social service and ecological environment.
It showed that Shenzhen, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Chongqing, Chengdu, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Changsha and Wuhan were the top ten cities on the 2018 business environment index list.
Due to the implementation of favorable measures such as vigorously attracting college students to find jobs and start businesses by giving them subsidies and discounts on commercial housing, the soft environment of some cities in central and western China has been greatly improved, the report said.
According to data in the first three quarters, dramatic changes have been seen in economic growth, environment, business cost and soft environment of cities in China this year, and thus the ranking of the cities by business environment may change greatly next year, predicted the report.
