BEIJING, Nov. (Xinhua) -- China's internet giant Tencent recently signed a framework cooperation agreement with Changsha Municipal People's Government in central China's Hunan province, mulling over the development of internet industry in Changsha, Shanghai Securities News reported on Thursday.
According to the agreement, the two parties will promote the integration between artificial intelligent (AI), big data, cloud computing with urban governance and the service of people's livelihood in the future.
Tencent also signed the agreements with the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, and the Changsha Municipal E-Government Office.
Tencent Changsha branch will set up a smart industry headquarters in Hunan Xiangjiang New Area to run its Tencent Cloud and smart industry business, according to the agreement.
Meanwhile, Tencent will join hands with local universities in Changsha to set up relevant high technology bases, such as Tecent AI college and Tencent Cloud Changsha branch. (Edited by Jiang Feifan, Hu Pingchao)
