BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- So far, 49 administrative areas in 20 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland have released measures based on local conditions to implement preferential policies for Taiwan compatriots, a spokesperson said Wednesday.

Since late November, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the four cities of Hubei, Guangdong, and Jiangsu Provinces have introduced such measures, said Ma Xiaoguang, a spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, at a press conference in Beijing.

East China's Jiangsu Province plans to give selected Taiwan enterprises policy support on a regular basis, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region encourages Taiwan enterprises to participate in the building of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, Ma added.

Ma said these measures have yielded good outcomes, bringing more benefits to Taiwan compatriots regarding scientific research, film and TV industry, fund-raising, agriculture, and other fields.
