BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Yunnan province has expanded its air routes to 19 countries along Belt and Road routes, according to Lv Bing, deputy director of Yunnan Provincial Development and Reform Commission at a press conference on Monday.
He added that Yunnan has opened air routes to all capitals of Southeast Asian countries.
In addition, the province has opened 88 international and regional air routes, of which 54 air routes are linked to Southeast Asia and 15 to South Asia.
Amid the rising number of the international air routes, Yunnan has also seen its booming trade with the countries along the Belt & Road.
The province's foreign trade amounted 107.37 billion yuan from January to July, showing a year-on-year increase of 44.5 percent, which ranked first in China.
As of July, the province's investment in 21 countries along the Belt& Road routes amounted to 6.4 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 64 percent of its actual outbound investment. (Edited by Wu Shuang, wushuang2018@xinhua.org)
