BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- China's air transport enterprises carried a total of 7.06 million tonnes of air cargo in 2017, a 5.6 percent year-on-year increase, according to the China Air Transport Association (CATA).
The country has seen surging air cargo on domestic and international air routes with a 1.9 and 15 percent increase respectively, said CATA in its latest industry analysis report.
The booming air express delivery service has contributed a lot to growth of the country's air cargo transportation.
The country's air transport enterprises realized a gross operating revenue of 534.8 billion yuan (about 77.14 billion U.S. dollars) in 2017, a 16 percent year-on-year increase.
